All sales support the work of The Unity Women’s Desk, a ministry of the worldwide Moravian Church. You can pay online and pick up items at our office at 459 South Church Street in Old Salem (Cedarhyrst) between 11 and 2 Monday – Thurs (or by appointment) or come and pick out your items and pay on-site with cash, credit card or check. Email Julie at julie.unitywomen@gmail.com. If you need something shipped, please email to see if we are able – this is our first year so we are shipping a limited number of items.

The purpose of the UWD is to positively impact the lives of women and girls by coordinating the spiritual, financial, educational, and material resources that exist throughout the Moravian Unity. Through generous donations, we are currently providing scholarships to over 100 girls and women – from secondary school through advanced degrees in nursing. We also provide microloans to small groups of Moravian women at no interest and we support conferences and educational programs that address issues of health, violence against women, entrepreneurship and more.

This year our shop features items made by Moravian women in Winston-Salem. It is our hope to add items made by Moravian women in other countries on a fair-trade basis.
