International Women’s Day Celebration 2017

Thank you to everyone who came out for International Women’s Day!

We had a huge success on March 8, 2017 for International Women’s Day. We had approximately 100 people at various times throughout the day. Many people went to various workshops and learned from Dr. Phil McKinley, Dr. Elizabeth Jeter, Leslie Garner, Charles Forrest, and Dr. Linn Parsons. All of the workshops were well attended and provided a wealth of information for everyone who attended. Dinner was wonderful (thanks to the efforts of the Salem College Corrin Refectory staff), and it was filled with conversation and fellowship. Communion went well and we were told by an attendee that it was lovely. The organizations that attended the display session were well attended and they met and did some networking of their own! Finally, the panel of speakers was wonderful and Semi Rivas-Rangel, Denise Terry, and Mary Haglund led a lively discussion on overcoming adversity and obstacles in life. Again, thank you to everyone who came out, and a very special thank you to those who volunteered their time to help make this happen!
